Malakanyang may tiwala pa rin sa korte kahit bumaliktad na ang mga witness vs de Lima

Iginagalang ng Palasyo ng Malakanyang ang kalayaan ng korte na humahawak sa kaso ni Senador Leila de Lima.

Pahayag ito ng Palasyo ng Malakanyang batapos bawiin ang mga naunang pahayag ni dating Bureau of Corrections Officer-in-Charge Rafael Ragos at sabihing pinilit lamang siya para idiin sa kaso ng illegal na droga si de Lima.

Ayon kay acting presidential spokesman Martin Andanar, patuuloy na pinagkakatiwalaan ng palasyo ang mga korte lalo na ang Department of Justice at ang National Prosecution Service para gampanan ang kanilang tungkulin.

“We respect the independence of the court handling the case of Senator Leila De Lima, particularly in evaluating the evidence presented, such as the statements of former Bureau of Corrections Officer-in-Charge Rafael Ragos,” pahayag ni Andanar.

“At the same time, we continue to trust the Department of Justice and the National Prosecution Service in performing their mandates in investigating and prosecuting the charges against the lady senator,” dagdag ng kalihim.

Ayon kay Ragos, pinilit lamang siya noon ni dating Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre para tumistigo laban kay de Lima.

Nakulong si de Lima noong 2017 dahil sa umanoý pagtanggao ng pera sa drug lord na si Kerwin Espinosa.

Binawi na rin ni Espinosa ang pahayag at sinabing wala siyang ibinibigay na drug money kay de Lima.
