Pinapayagan na ng Department of Education na hindi mag-report sa eskwelahan ang mga guro sa Mayo 2 hanggang 13.
Ayon kay Education Secretary Leonor Briones, ito ay dahil sa karamihan sa mga guro ay magsisilbing poll workers sa eleksyon sa Mayo 9.
Ayon sa pahayag ng DepEd, magkakaroon ng adjustment sa schedule.
Nasa 640 na guro ang magsisilbing poll workers.
Matatandaang umani ng batikos ang DepEd nang papasukin sa eskwelahan ang mga guro kahit nagpapatuloy pa ang online classes ng mga estudyante.
