P3.4-M halaga ng shabu, nadiskubre sa kargamentong naglalaman umano ng diaper bags

Kasabay ng patuloy na paghihigpit sa border control measures, nadiskubre ng Bureau of Customs – Port of Clark sa isang kargamento ang P3.4 milyong halaga ng Methamphetamine Hydrochloride o shabu.

Unang idineklara na naglalaman ang kargamento ng ‘diaper bags’ mula sa Incheon, South Korea.

Magkatuwang sa operasyon ang BOC Port personnel, Customs Anti-Illegal Drugs Task Force (CAIDTF), Enforcement Security Service (ESS), Customs Intelligence and Investigation Service (CIIS), X-ray Inspection Project (XIP), at Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).

Nang sumalang sa physical examination, tumambad ang limang transparent self-sealing sachets ng naturang ilegal na droga.

Nakasilid ang shabu sa loob ng backpack at linings ng thermal bags.

Agad nagsagawa ng field testing ang CAIDTF Clark at PDEA personnel at dinala ang samples sa PDEA para sa chemical laboratory analysis.

Dito nakumpirma na shabu ang nadiskubre sa kargamento.

Agad naglabas ng Warrant of Seizure and Detention si District Collector Alexandra Lumontad laban sa kargamento dahil sa paglabag sa Sections 118 (g), 119 (d), at 1113 (f) ng Republic Act 10863 na may kinalaman sa Section 4 ng Republic Act 9165 o Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
