Mga baril ng NPA ngayon eleksyon narekober sa Surigao del Sur
Narekober ng mga tauhan ng Army 4th Infantry Division ang pitong matataas na kalibre ng baril ng New People’s Army sa Tago, Surigao del Sur.
Sinabi ni 4th ID commander, Maj. Gen. Wilbur Mamawag, isang residente ang nagturo ng mga armas na ibinaon sa Sitio Lagangan sa Barangay Caras-an.
Ayon pa kay Mamawag ang pitong AK-47 rifles, na may 17 magazines, ay kabilang lang sa mga armas na ginagamit ng mga rebelde sa ginagawa nilang pananakot sa mga lokal na kandidato sa papalapit na eleksyon.
Ang mga ito rin aniya ang ginagamit sa pangongotong sa mga contractors at lokal na negosyante.
“As the Commander of Joint Task Force Diamond, my desire is to eliminate the potential spoilers in the coming polls by making sure that the CTG will not be in a position to harass and intimidate people in the countryside as the election draws near. We will continue to hunt them down and collect their firearms faster than they could hide,” sabi ng opisyal.
