Hirit na pagpalit sa pangalan ng NAIA, ipinaubaya na ng Palasyo sa Kongreso
Ipinauubaya na ng Palasyo ng Malakanyang sa Kongreso ang hirit ni Duterte Youth Rep. Ducielle Marie Cardema na palitan ang pangalan ng Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA).
Sa panukala ni Cardema, dapat ibalik sa pangalang Manila International Airport ang NAIA.
Ayon kay acting Presidential spokesman Martin Andanar, kailangan ng congressional action sa hirit ni Cardema.
Ipinunto pa ni Andanar na ibinasura na noong 2020 ng Korte Suprema na baguhin ang batas at palitan ang pangalan ng NAIA.
“There has to be a congressional action to repeal the Republic Act # 6639 which renamed MIA to NAIA. It can be remembered that the Supreme Court in 2020 already junked the petition to nullify the said law,” pahayag ni Andanar.
