Isko Moreno iniwan ng IM Pilipinas Zamboanga chapter, Robredo-Duterte tandem isinusulong
Inabandona na ng Ikaw Muna (IM) Pilipinas Zamboanga Chapter ang kandidatura ni Manila Mayor Isko Moreno at lumipat na kay presidential candidate Vice President Leni Robredo.
Nabatid na ang IM Pilipinas Zamboanga Chapter ay binubuo ng 20,000 miyembro na kinatawan ng iba’t ibang sektor mula sa religious, women, youth, LGBT, non-government organization, media, transport, young professionals, person with disabilities at iba pa.
Ayon sa grupo, matapos ang malalim na pag-aaral ng kanilang mga eksperto, napagtanto nila na hindi na kaya ni Moreno na makahabol kina Robredo at presidential candidate Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.
Ayon sa grupo, ginawa nila ang naturang hakbang para na rin sa national interest ng bayan.
“Hence, after due consultation with all our sectors, It has been unanimously agreed amongst all sectoral representatives that for national interest, we hereby switch our support from Mayor Isko to Leni Robredo for President,” pahayag ng grupo.
Kasabay nito, nanawagan din ang grupo sa lahat ng kandidato sa pagka-pangulo na magsagawa ng sakripipsyo o ultimate sacrifice at isantabi muna ang mga personal na ambisyon at sama-samang talunin si Marcos.
“With barely a month to go before May 9 polls, we believe that it is high time these Presidential aspirants make one historic and patriotic act of setting aside their personal and political differences and rally behind the most winnable candidate based on the most credible data so far. We are sure that all candidates have the empirical and objective guide that will help them come up with a judicious and wise decision in this regard,” pahayag ng grupo.
“We believe that by making the supreme sacrifice of setting aside their presidential ambition for the sake of our nation, our candidates will earn the highest praise, gratitude and admiration of the Filipino people. Indeed, they will serve the highest interest of the country by preventing a return of a dreaded and sordid episode in our history. The only way to do so is to combine all their efforts and supporters. Their common and noble objective ensuring a better future for us will be best achieved if they unite to prevent the dark past from enveloping the dreams of our children and our children’s children,” dagdag ng grupo.
Nanawagan din ang IM Pilipinas sa mga kapwa-volunteer na sumusuporta sa ibang kandiato na sama-samang isantabi muna ang political differences, lunukin ang pride at magsama-samang labanan si Marcos.
“Today, we likewise call upon our fellow volunteers from the various volunteer organizations supporting these nine candidates, as well as all patriotic citizens to set aside political differences, swallow our pride, biases and egos, and bond together under a common candidate for the sole purpose of stopping our country’s return to another dark chapter and save country from anarchy and chaos,” pahayag ng IM Pilipinas.
Naniniwala ang IM Pilipinas na ang tambalang Robredo at vice presidential candidate Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio ang nararapat na ihalal sa eleksyon sa Mayo 9.
“Dapat ROSA ang kulay ng ating bukas!” pahayag ng IM Pilipinas.
