Inaresto ng mga tauhan ng Philippine National Police (PNP) – Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) si dating PNP Chief Alan Purisima.
Ang arrest warrant laban kay Purisima ay isinilbi ng PNP CIDG nang dumating ito sa Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) terminal 3 galing sa Butuan City.
Kahapon ay ipinag-utos ng Sandiganbayan ang pag-aresto kay Purisima kaugnay sa kaso nitong may kaugnayan sa maanomalyang courier service deal na pinasok ng PNP noong panahong siya pa ang hepe.
Maliban kay Purisima, ipina-aaresto din sina Gil Meneses, Napoleon Estilles, Allan Parreño, Melchor Reyes, Ford Tuazon, Mario Juan, Salud Bautista, Enrique Valerio, Lorna Perena at Juliana Pasia.
Ang apat na iba pang respodents na pawang mga dating police officials rin na sina Raul Petrasanta, Eduardo Acierto, Nelson Bautista at Ricardo Zapata Jr., ay nakapaghain na ng kani-kanilang piyansa./ Jan Escosio
