Inflation ng Pilipinas, pumalo sa 4 percent

Lalo pang tumaas ang inflation sa bansa noong buwan ng Marso.

Ayon sa Philippine Statistic Authority, pumalo sa 4.0 percent ang inflation noong Marso kumpara sa 3 percent na naitala noong Pebrero.

Ayon sa PSA, ito na ang pinakamabilis na pagtaas ng inflation simula noong Setyembre 2021 na pumalo sa 4.2 percent.

Nabatid na ang sektor ng transportasyon ang nakapagtala ng pinakamataas na inflation dahil sa pagtaas ng presyo ng produktong petrolyo.

Sinabi naman ng Palasyo ng Malakanyang na mahigpit na binabantayan ng economic managers ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang inflation.

Ayon kay acting presidential spokesman Martin Andanar, pagsusumikapan ng economic managers na tugunan ang naturang problema.

“Our economic managers continue to keep a tight watch over inflation as it hits 4% in March 2022.  They attribute this upward trend in transport, gas, other fuels among others.   Having said this, we will not relax in our efforts and will work twice as hard to address the national issue of higher prices,” pahayag ni Andanar.
