Inilunsad ni Quezon City 5th District Congressional Candidate Patrick Michael “PM” Vargas ang Pag-asa Murals na nagbibigay pagkakataon sa mga youth artists ng Novaliches na pinturahan ang lungsod ng may pag asa at pagkakaisa sa kabila ng mga banta na dala ng pandemic.
Ang murals ay pipinturahan ng mga batang volunteer artists mula sa Youth for Progressive Movement (Youth for PM) Coalition, isang grupo ng mga youth organizations na nanawagan ng inclusive development, youth empowerment, at good governance sa 5thDistrict ng QC.
Ang Pag-asa Murals ay nailunsad sa tatlong community locations partikular sa Nenita sa Brgy. Gulod, Balagtas sa Brgy. Sta. Lucia, at Pascualer sa Brgy. San Bartolome, Quezon City noong buong buwan ng Marso 2022.
Sa kanyang speech , pinapurihan ni Vargas ang pagkakaroon ng volunteerism at creativity ng mga volunteer youth artists.
“Dahil sa galing at talento ng kabataan, talagang pinapatunayan ninyong kayo ang pag-asa ng bayan at may pag-asa pag magkakasama,” pahayag ni Vargas.
Pinasalamatan naman ni Youth for PM Convenor Andrea Mendiola si Vargas dahil sa mainit na suporta sa proyekto ng mga kabataan sa komunidad.
“We want to leave an impression to whoever sees the Pag-asa Murals that amidst the pandemic or any difficulties, the Bayanihan spirit is alive and that the youth will always forge a path for the future,” pahayag ni Mendiola .
Ang tema ng mural project ay “May Pag-asa pag Magkakasama”, isang paalala sa mga residente ng QC na magkapit bisig at magtulungan para sa kinabukasan ng bawat taga lungsod.
