Bilang ng Filipino seafarers na nakauwi mula sa Ukraine, umabot na sa 323

Patuloy pa rin ang repatriation ng Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) para sa mga Filipino na nasa Ukraine.

Bunsod pa rin ito ng nagpapatuloy na gulo sa pagitan ng Ukraine at Russia.

Sinalubong ng DFA – Consular Office sa Angeles, Pampanga ang 13 seafarers ng MV Ithaca Prospect sa Clark International Airport noong March 26.

Ito ang bagong batch ng seafarers na nakauwi mula sa mga pantalan ng Ukraine.

Noong March 25, walong crewmen ng MV Filia Glory, na nakaangkla sa Olvia Port sa Katimugang bahagi ng Mykolaev, ang dumating sa NAIA.

“The evacuation of the seafarers was a big challenge because of the need for them to disembark the ship through small boats that would bring them safely to shore. We did this twice since the second batch of the crew was evacuated on a separate day,” pahayag ni Philippine Ambassador to Budapest Frank Cimafranca.

Sa ngayon, umabot na sa 323 ang bilang ng Filipino seafarers na napauwi, habang 30 pa ang nailikas at naghihintay na ma-repatriate.

Naging posible ang nagpapatuloy na evacuation efforts sa tulong ng Philippine Honorary Consul at Philippine Embassy sa Budapest.
