IT-BPM firms sa ecozones, puwedeng work from home pero may kapalit
Sinabi ni Finance Secretary Carlos Dominguez III na maari namang magpatupad ng work from home arrangements ang mga kompaniya ng Information Technology – Business Process Management na nasa ecozones at ang nakarehistro na investment promotion agencies (IPAs).
Ayon kay Dominguez, wala namang pumipigil o nakikialam sa diskarte ng mga kompaniya, kabilang na ang pagpapatuloy ng work from home set-up.
Ngunit paalala lang ng kalihim, mawawala naman ang tax incentives ng mga kompaniya, gaya ng income tax holiday o 5 porsyento special corporate income tax alinsunod sa nakasaad sa Section 309 ng Tax Code.
Sabi pa ni Dominguez hindi magiging makatuwiran sa mga negosyo sa labas ng ecozones na nagbabayad ng lahat ng nakatakdang buwis.
“Other companies such as micro, small and medium enterprises pay regular corporate income tax rate of 20 percent, while big corporations pay 25 percent,” aniya.
Dagdag pa nito, sa pagbabalik ng mga trabaho sa ecozones, sisigla din ang iba pang negosyo gaya ng mga tindahan, food at transport services.
