Pagsusuri sa wage hike petitions minamadali – DOLE
Tiniyak ng Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) na mamadaliin ng regional wage boards ang diskusyon sa mga petisyon ng mga manggagawa para sa kanilang umento.
Sinabi ni Executive Dir. Ma. Criselda Sy, ng National Wages and Productivity Commission, na nagpulong ang mga namumuno sa wage boards noong nakaraang linggo at pinag-usapan kung paano mapapabilis ang pagre-review sa mga petisyon.
Ikinatuwiran ng mga manggagawa, hindi na sapat ang kanilang umento para disenteng mabuhay bunsod na rin ng pagtaas ng mga bilihin, na nag-ugat sa pagsirit ng husto ng presyo ng mga produktong-petrolyo.
Dagdag pa ni Sy, mamadaliin din ang proseso sakaling pagbibigyan ang wage hike petitions.
“We hope the public can understand that we do not want to derail the economic development during this pandemic period. The process for wage adjustments is not easy and we want to get all of the sentiments of the members of the tripartite group,” sabi pa ng opisyal.
