4-day work week, ipatutupad na sa Iloilo

Sisimulan na ng Iloilo City government ang pagpapatupad ng 4-day work week.

Ayon kay Mayor Jerry Treñas, layon nitong makatulong sa mga empleyado kasabay ng pagtaas ng presyo ng mga produktong petrolyo.

“In order to help our employees cope with the present increases of fuel, the city will start adopting the 4-day work week as suggested by NEDA chief Karl Chua starting the week after next,” saad ng alkalde.

Sa pamamagitan nito, mabibigyan aniya ng panahon ang mga empleyado na makapag-adjust sa kanilang schedules sa trabaho at kanilang tahanan.

Gagamit din aniya ng mga modernong jeepney upang maihatid ang mga empleyado mula sa district plazas patungo sa City Hall at pabalik kada araw.

Dagdag pa nito, “Other measures recommended for energy conservation will be seriously studied.”
