Walang banta ng tsunami matapos ang M7.3 na lindol sa Japan – Phivolcs

Tiniyak ng Phivolcs na walang banta ng tsunami sa Pilipinas matapos tumama ang magnitude 7.3 na lindol sa Japan, Miyerkules ng gabi.
Sinabi ng ahensya na yumanig ang malakas na lindol malapit sa East Coast ng Honshu dakong 10:36 ng gabi.
May lalim ang lindol na 34 kilometers.
“Hazardous tsunami waves are possible for coasts located within 300 km of the earthquake epicenter,” saad ng Phivolcs.
Nagsasagawa na ng assessment ang mga awtoridad sa Japan ukol sa posibleng idinulot na pinsala ng pagyanig.
