Halos 4,000 rehistradong TODA members sa Quezon City, nakatanggap ng P500 fuel subsidy

Pinangunahan ni Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte ang pamamahagi ng P500 na fuel subsidy sa 3,982 registered tricycle operators and drivers association (TODA) sa lungsod.

Nabatid na regalo ito ni Belmonte sa mga drayber kasabay ng pagdiriwang ng kanyang kaarawan.

“Nasa headline ng balita na patuloy na tumataas ang presyo ng krudo na nagiging malaking pasakit pa sa mga pumapasada nating mga kababayan. Kaya naman nararapat lang na mabigyan sila ng kaunting tulong,” pahayag ni Belmonte.

“While we are waiting for the fuel subsidy promised by the national government, we recognize the urgent need to help one of the most vital transportation sectors in our city,” pahayag ni Belmonte.

Bukod sa fuel subsidy, una nang nakatanggap ng ayuda ang tricycle drivers at operators ng financial assistance, prayoridad sa vaccination drives, at food packages.

Samantala, nagpasa naman ng ordinansa ang Quezon City council sa pangunguna ni Vice Mayor Gian Sotto na magbibigay ng fuel subsidy program sa 25,000 members ng Quezon City TODAs.

Aabot sa P1, 000 na fuel subsidy ang matatanggap ng mga drayber.
