Mga sasakyang ilegal na nakaparada sa Mabuhay Lanes, inalis ng MMDA
Nagkasa ang Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) ng clearing operations sa parte ng Panay Avenue, na bahagi ng Mabuhay Lanes, sa Quezon City, Miyerkules ng umaga.
Sa loob lamang ng 30 minuto, naglabas ang ahensya ng 23 ticket sa mga sasakyang ilegal na nakaparada sa naturang kalsada, habang dalawang sasakyan naman ang hinila.
Layon ng operasyon na maiwasan ang pagsisikip ng daloy ng trapiko sa mga pangunahing kalsada sa Metro Manila, lalo na sa EDSA.
May multang P1,000 sa attended illegally parked vehicles habang P2,000 naman sa unattended illegally parked vehicles.
Dinala ang mga hinilang sasakyan sa impounding area ng MMDA sa Tumana, Marikina.
Sinabi ni MMDA Chairman Romando Artes na ipagpapatuloy nila ang regular clearing operations sa Mabuhay Lanes, na nagsisilbing alternatibong ruta sa EDSA.
“The MMDA is serious in its bid to decongest EDSA and provide motorists with alternate routes that are passable and free from obstructions,” ani Artes.
Dagdag nito, “We are closely coordinating with the local government units and the Department of Interior and Local Government to ensure that these roads will be maintained obstruction-free.”
Target aniya ng ahensya na maalis ang lahat ng mga nakaharang sa mga kalsada sa Metro Manila sa loob ng tatlong buwan.
“We want to ensure that at the end of our term, we will turnover obstruction-free and orderly Metro Manila roads to the next administration,” saad ni Artes.
