Road widening project sa Guimaras, nakumpleto na
Mas madali nang mapupuntahan ng mga lokal at dayuhang turista ang iba’t ibang tourist destination sa probinsya ng Guimaras.
Kasunod ito ng pagtatapos ng road widening project ng Department of Public Works and Highway (DPWH) sa bahagi ng Guimaras Central Road sa bayan ng San Lorenzo.
Binati ni Secretary Roger Mercado ang DPWH Guimaras District Engineer Office (DEO) sa matagumpay na konstruksyon ng P42.27-million project.
Base sa ulat ni DPWH Regional Director Tiburcio DL. Canlas at DPWH Guimaras District Engineer Rhodora Nuñal, nadagdagan ng dalawang lane ang kalsada sa San Lorenzo.
Sakop din ng proyekto ang konstruksyon ng grouted riprap, stone masonry, curb and gutter, probisyon ng reflectorized thermoplastic pavement markings, at ditch canals.
Makatutulong din ang road section para mas mapabilis ang pagbiyahe ng mga produkto at serbisyo sa naturang probinsya.
“DPWH plans to conduct more widening and other improvement initiatives along the whole stretch of the Guimaras Central Road as well as the Guimaras Circumferential Road in order to provide better transportation network in the island province so we can help the province translate its potential into actual socio-economic growth,” ayon kay Mercado.
