P500-M halaga ng ukay-ukay at pekeng produkto, nasamsam sa Valenzuela City

Nasabat ng Bureau of Customs, sa pamamagitan ng Customs Intelligence and Investigation Service-Port of Manila Field Office (BOC-CIIS-POM), ang ukay-ukay items at iba pang mga pekeng produkto sa isang warehouse sa Valenzuela City.

Tinatayang nagkakahalaga ang mga kontrabando ng P500 milyon.

Sa bisa ng Letter of Authority (LOA) mula kay BOC Commissioner Rey Leonardo Guerrero, nag-inspeksyon ang mga tauhan ng CIIS-Intellectual Property Rights Division (IPRD), National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), at Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) sa warehouse sa bahagi ng #2 E. San Andres Street, cor. T. Santiago St. sa Canumay West.

Nadiskubre ng mga awtoridad ang mga ukay-ukay, power banks, face masks, ilang damit na may tatak na Gucci, Chanel, Fendi, at Louis Vuitton.

Tumambad din sa mga awtoridad ang pipe fittings, carpet rolls, refrigerant 22, caustic soda flakes, Lushika (kahon ng mga alahas at relo), at iba pa.

Magsasagawa ng mas malalim na imbestigasyon ang mga awtoridad dahil sa posibleng paglabag sa Section 1114 ng Republic Act 10863 o Customs Modernization and Tariff Act (CMTA), at Intellectual Property Code of the Philippines.
