54 pang seafarers mula sa Ukraine, nakauwi na

Nakauwi na ang 54 pang seafarers mula sa Ukraine, araw ng Lunes (March 14).

Ayon sa Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), kabilang sa mga nakauwi ang 14 crew members ng MV Bolten Ithaki, pitong seafarers ng MV Ithaca Prospect, 12 seafarers ng MV Polar Star, at 21 seafarers ng MV Riva Wind.

Ito ang pinakamalaking grupo na nakauwi simula nang ikasa ang evacuation at repatriation ng Filipino seafarers mula sa Ukraine.

Katuwang ang Philippine Embassy sa Budapest at Philippine Honorary Consul Victor Gaina ng Chisinau, Moldova, tinututukan ng kagawaran ang 23 barko sa mga apektadog barko na binabantayan ng mga Filipino.

Dalawa sa nasabing bilang, kasama ang Yasa Jupiter at MV Namura Queen, ay kapwa tinamaan sa Black Sea, kung saan nasugatan ang isang Filipino seafarer.

Sa ngayon, umabot na sa 247 ang bilang ng seafarers na nakauwi mula sa Ukraine simula noong February 27, 2022.

Inaasahan na rin ang pagdating ng 14 pang seafarers sa araw ng Martes, March 15.

Narito ang bilang ng Filipino crew members ng 15 barko na nakalikas:
MV S –Breeze – 21, MV Joseph Schulte – 7, MV Star Helena – 31, MV Global Aglaia- 20, MV Key Knight – 21, MV Pavlina – 22, MV Bonita-11, MV Star Laura – 19, MV Rio Grande – 22, MV Puma – 1, MV Polar Star-19, MV Bolten Ithaki- 14, MV Ithaca Prospect-7, MV Riva Wind – 21, at MV Marika – 14.
