VM Francis Zamora, sumailalim sa conditional arraignment

Naghain ng not guilty plea si outgoing San Juan Vice Mayor Francis Zamora sa conditional arraignment for travel sa kanya sa Sandiganbayan 6th division.

Si Zamora ay nahaharap sa kasong technical malversation kaugnay sa maanomalyang pagbili ng San Juan city government ng high-powered guns, gamit ang calamity funds.

Sa pagbasa ng sakdal ng 6th division, present si Zamora at abogado nito.

Target ni Zamora na makalabas ng bansa magbakasyon sa Amerika sa May 22 hanggang June 9.

Kapwa akusado ni Zamora, na noo’y konsehal, si incumbent Senator JV Ejercito, na alkalde naman ng San Juan City nang maganap ang umano’y anomalya noong 2008.

Batay sa reklamo ng Office of the Ombudsman, kwestiyonable ang pagbili ng mga lokal na opisyal ng San Juan City, sa pangunguna ni Ejercito, ng mga armas dahil ginamit ang calamity funds gayung wala namang kalamidad.

Aabot sa 2.1 million pesos ang halaga ng high powered firearms na nabili, na ayon kay Ejercito ay walang iregularidad.

Si Zamora ay bigong matalo ang nanay ni Ejercito na si Guia Gomez sa nakalipas na May 9 Mayoralty elections sa San Juan City.
