Kasabay ng pagbaba sa Alert Level 1 sa Metro Manila at 38 pang lugar, nakatutok pa rin ang Philippine National Police (PNP) sa mga pampublikong lugar.
Sa National Capital Region (NCR), nasa 19 barangay pa rin ang nakasailalim sa granular lockdown sa kabila ng pagbaba ng Alert Level sa nasabing rehiyon.
Nananatiling mapagmatyag ang mga tauhan ng National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) sa mga quarantine violator.
Humigit-kumulang 3,000 indibiduwal ang binalaan dahil sa paglabag sa minimum public health standard, at 861 ang minultahan noong March 1.
“We received reports that some LGUs under Alert Level 1, did not release a new Executive Order regarding the adjustment of protocol guidelines. All Chiefs of Police concerned must seek guidance from the local chief executives on the enforcement aspect to avoid confusion. Definitely, minimum public health standard like the wearing of face mask is still mandatory in public areas,” pahayag ni PNP Chief General Dionardo Carlos.
Sinabi ng PNP Chief na walang napaulat na untoward incident sa unang araw ng implementasyon ng Alert Level 1 sa ilang lugar.
Mahigpit pa ring ipinatutupad ng unit commanders sa mga lugar na nasa Alert Level 1 ang mga protocol, katuwang ang iba’t ibang lokal na pamahalaan.
Samantala, 6,766 PNP personnel ang naka-deploy sa quarantine control points sa bansa, kasama ang COMELEC-PNP-AFP checkpoints para sa kasagsagan ng eleksyon.
Naobserbahan din ng pambansang pulisya ang mas mabigat na daloy ng trapiko sa mga lugar sa ilalim ng Alert Level 1 dahil mas marami nang pribadong sasakyan ang bumibiyahe at nasa full capacity na ang mga pampublikong transportasyon.
“We are coordinating with the different government agencies and offices to better monitor the traffic flow and assist in the enforcement of traffic rules,” ani Carlos.
