Maynilad, papatawan ng financial penalty ng MWSS
Papatawan ng financial penalty ng Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System Regulatory Office (MWSS RO) ang water concessionaire na Maynilad bunsod ng pagpapatupad ng mahabang water service interruptions.
Ayon sa MWSS, libu-libong consumer ang naapektuhan ng ipinatupad na water service interruption mula noong December 2021 hanggang February 2022 sa lugar na sakop ng Putatan Water Treatment Plant.
“Based on the evidence gathered from its investigation, the MWSS RO concluded that Maynilad failed to meet its Service Obligation of ensuring the availability of an uninterrupted 24-hour supply of water at seven pounds per square inch minimum pressure to all connected customers in its service area,” saad nito.
Nakasaad sa water concessionaire agreement na dapat umabot lamang ng hanggang 15 araw ang pagkaantala ng suplay ng water companies.
Makakauha naman ang mga apektadong consumer ng rebates.
“It is already in the proess of identifying all accounrts that will be covered by the Rebate Program, the rebate amount for each amount, and the policies and procedures for carrying out the program, in coordication with Maynilad,” saad nito.
