Ginawa ni Go ang pahayag matapos ang ground breaking ceremony ng PCOO sa bagong Visayas media hub sa Mandaue City, Cebu.
Ayon kay Go, mahalaga ang ginagampanan ng tamang impormasyon para mapanatili ang demokrasya ng bansa.
Nanawagan pa si Go sa PCOO at iba pang state affiliated media outlet na panatilihin ang pinakamataas na ethical standards sa trabaho.
“Today marks another historic milestone in strengthening the fulfillment of our government’s communication operations and services nationwide … This is a vital step to promote increased civic awareness and public participation among Filipinos, especially in the Visayas region,” pahayag ni Go.
Inaasahang matatapos ang Visayas media hub bago matapos ang taong 2022.
Aabot sa P300 milyon ang inilaang pondo mula sa General Appropriations Act.
May dagdag din na P300 milyong pondo para sa pagbili ng state-of-the-art na broadcast equipment at facilities.
Ang Visays media hub ay four-story building broadcast complex, television studios, radio booths, automated master control system, transmitter at satellite uplink system, TV broadcast information technology system, news graphics system at digital transmitters.
