Higit P926,000 halaga ng ecstacy tablets, cannabis oils nasamsam sa Pasay
Nasamsam ng Bureau of Custom Port of NAIA (BOC-NAIA) at Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) ang P926,075 halaga ng ecstacy tablets at cannabis oils sa Central Mail Exchange Center (CMEC) sa Pasay City.
Sa pamamagitan ng mahigpit na examination procedures, naharang at nasabat ng mga awtoridad ang apat na kargamento na naglalaman ng mga ilegal na droga.
Nagmula sa Germany ang unang kargamento na may lulang 394 piraso ng ecstacy tablets at nagkakahalaga ng P669,800.
Nadiskubre naman sa ikalawang shipment na nagmula sa Amerika ang 425 gramo ng hinihinalang cannabis at cannabis oils sa may estimated market value na P247,200.
Dalawa pang kargamento ang naharang sa warehouse ng FEDEX at DHL kung saan tumambad ang cannabis oils, na unang idineklara bilang vitamins at vape cartridges.
Dinala ang lahat ng kargamento sa PDEA para sa mas masusing imbestigasyon at pagsasampa ng kasong paglabag sa Republic Act 10863 o Customs Modernisation and Tariff Act (CMTA) at Republic Act 9165 o Comprehensive Drug Act of the Philippines.
Nananatili namang matatag ang BOC-NAIA sa pagsuporta sa anti-illegal drug efforts alinsunod sa direktiba ni BOC Commissioner Rey. Leonardo Guerrero.
