Multi-purpose building sa La Union, itinatayo ng DPWH
Nagtatayo ang Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) ng isang multi-purpose building sa La Union.
Personal na ininspeksyon ni DPWH Secretary Roger Mercado ang progreso ng P280-million La Union Convention Center Project sa bahagi ng Barangay Sevilla sa San Fernando City.
Sinabi ng DPWH Region 1 na mayroong kakaibang architectural at aesthetic design ang naturang gusali na sumasalamin sa reputasyon ng La Union bilang surfing destination sa Hilagang bahagi ng Pilipinas.
Kaya nitong makapag-accommodate ng 1,500 katao para makapagdaos ng mga event, exhibit, convention, tradeshow, meeting, programa ng gobyerno, at iba pang public activities.
Oras na matapos, iti-turnover ang proyekto sa lokal na pamahalaan ng La Union para sa operation at maintenance.
Hanggang February 2022, nasa 71.45 porsyento na ang accomplishment rate ng proyekto, kung saan nakumpleto na ang civil, electrical at mechanical works sa gusali.
