Pangulong Duterte, magiging transparent sa pagtatalaga ng mga opisyal sa Comelec

Tiniyak ng Palasyo ng Malakanyang na magiging transparent si Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte sa pagtatalaga ng mga opisyal sa Commission on Elections (Comelec).

Pahayag ito ng Palasyo sa gitna ng panawagan National Citizens’ Movement for Free Elections (NAMFREL) na magtalaga ng competent at tapat na tao na pupuno sa tatlong bakanteng posisyon sa Comelec.

Kabilang sa mga bakante ang chairman ng Comelec at dalawang Commissioner.

Ayon kay Cabinet Secretary at acting presidential spokesman Karlo Nograles, dadaan sa matinding proseso ang mga personalidad na itatalaga sa Comelec.

“The President has likewise committed that the selection of appointees to positions vacated by the recently-retired officials of the Commission on Elections shall be completely transparent, with candidates undergoing a stringent merit-based vetting process,” pahayag ni Nograles.

Bukod dito, sinabi ni Nograles na titiyakin ni Pangulong Duterte na magkakaroon ng maayos at mapayapang eleksyon sa Mayo.

“President Rodrigo Roa Duterte assures the Filipino people that his Administration will ensure honest, peaceful and credible elections on May 9, 2022, adding that the conduct of the electoral exercise would fully conform to the requirements of the Constitution and law,” pahayag ni Nograles.
