Mga OFW na nagpositibo sa COVID-19, inaayudahan na
Inaayudahan na ng pamahalaan ng Pilipinas ang overseas Filipino workers na nagpositibo sa COVID-19.
Ayon kay Cabinet Secretary at acting presidential spokesman Karlo Nograles, kumikilos na ang Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO) sa Hong Kong.
“Our POLO immediately provided them with food, hygiene kits and power banks to allow them to communicate while waiting for calls from the Center for Health Protection and HK Labour Department,” pahayag ni Nograles.
Nakipag-ugnayan na rin aniya ang POLO sa non-government organization para sa isolation facility ng mga OFW.
“Nakipag-ugnayan na rin ang POLO sa HK Labour Department para sa isolation facility at transportation.
Sinabi pa ni Nograles na magbibigay din ang POLO ng 200 US dollars sa mga OFW.
“POLO has also provided USD200 for after care financial assistance to those who recovered from COVID-19,” pahayag ni Nograles.
Ayon kay Nograles, sa 28 OFW na nagpositibo sa COVID-19, lima na ang nakarekober at tatlo sa kanila ang nakabalik na sa kanilang employer.
“The Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) will also provide USD200 for each COVID-positive OFW,” pahayag ni Nograles.
