15.5-M batang may edad 5-11, target mabakunahan vs COVID-19
Target ng gobyerno na mabakunahan laban sa COVID-19 ang mahigit 15.5 milyong batang may edad lima hanggang 11 taong gulang.
Sa Laging Handa press briefing, sinabi ni Health Undersecretary Myrna Cabotaje na makakamit ito depende sa pagdating ng mga suplay ng bakuna.
“Depende ‘yan sa darating na supply no. There’s still shortage o hindi naman ganoon karami ang suplay sa buong mundo,” saad nito.
Unti-unti aniya ang pagdating ng doses ng COVID-19 vaccine para sa pediatric population simula sa buwan ng Pebrero.
“Yung 15 million, hindi po agad darating ‘yan ng isang buwan. It will come in tranches,” ani Cabotaje.
“We are expecting na sana makumpleto ‘yung 15 million by first quarter [ng 2022] or at least April tapos bibili rin tayo ng another 15 million [doses] para makumpleto po ‘yung two doses na kailangang ibigay sa mga bata,” dagdag nito.
