P1.6-M halaga ng smuggled na sigarilyo sa Zamboanga, nasamsam

Nasabat ng Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) District Southwestern Mindanao at Bureau of Customs (BOC) ang P1.6 milyong halaga ng mga smuggled na sigarilyo sa Zamboanga City noong February 6.

Nakatanggap ang PCG ng ulat mula sa Enforcement and Security Service at Customs Police Zamboanga City na nakakita sila ng isang trak na may kargang 48 cases ng sigarilyo sa loob ng mga sako.

Binalutan pa ang mga kontrabando ng Agar Agar seaweeds at tuyo.

Agad nagtungo ang mga operatiba ng PCG at BOC sa lugar at nakumpirma ang naturang ulat.

Base sa inisyal na imbestigasyon, napag-alamang in-operate ang nasabing trak ng isang “Abdul Jamal,” residente mula sa Cawit, Pagadian City.

Dinala naman ang mga kontrabando sa tanggapan ng BOC para sa mas malalim na imbestigasyon.
