618 katao, nahuling lumabag sa election gun ban

Iniulat ng Philippine National Police (PNP) na umabot na sa 618 ang bilang ng mga indibiduwal na nahuling lumabas sa umiiral na gun ban para sa 2022 National and Local Elections.

Sa Laging Handa press briefing, sinabi ni PNP spokesperson Police Col. Jean Fajardo na base ito sa datos hanggang February 5.

“As of February 5, umabot na po sa 699 ang operations po ng kinonduct ng PNP para po i-implement ang gun ban,” ani Fajardo.

Karamihan aniya sa mga nahuling lumabag ay napaulat sa National Capital Region.

Sa nalalapit na pagsisimula ng campaign period, ipinaalala ni Fajardo sa publiko na bawal magdala ng baril, maliban lamang kung nakapag-apply ng exemption sa Commission on Elections (Comelec).

“Bawal po ang pagdadala ng kahit anong klaseng baril except of course ‘yung mga authorized sa Comelec resolution katulad ng mga members ng law enforcement agencies at ‘yun pong mga dispersing personnel po ng ating mga financial institutions,” saad nito.
