Online pa-raffle ng mga kandidato, vote-buying na simula Pebrero 8
Maituturing ng ‘vote buying’ ang pa-raffle ng mga kandidato kahit sa pamamagitan ng social media, sa opisyal na pagsisimula ng campaign period sa Pebrero 8.
Ito ang paalala ni Commission on Election (Comelec) spokesman, Dir. James Jimenez, dahil aniya ipinagbabawal na ang ganitong uri ng pangunguha ng boto.
Sinabi pa ni Jimenez maging ang anumang uri ng ‘assistance’ sa bahagi ng mga kandidato ay hindi na rin pinapayagan, gayundin ang pagbibigay ng anumang may halaga sa mga botante.
“Because you know, you might say that its for some other reason, but you know, none of us were born yesterday,”sabi pa nito.
Dagdag pa niya; “So we all know that it’s going to be for vote buying purposes, And unfortunately, in terms of vote buying, you’re going to need your complainant talaga.”
Kayat hinihikayat niya ang publiko na maghain ng reklamo kapag may nasaksihan silang pagbili ng boto sa kanilang lugar.
