I Love Metro Manila Adopt-A-Park project, inilunsad
Inilunsad ng Metro Manila Development Authority at Valenzuela City government ang kauna-unahang park na nasa ilalim ng I Love Metro Manila Adopt-A-Park project.
Mismong sina MMDA chairman Benhur Abalos at Valenzuela City Mayor Rex Gatchalian ang nagpasinaya sa MMDA-Valenzuela Friendship Park sa Disiplina Village sa Barangay Bignay.
Bukas ang park sa publiko pati na sa mga bata.
Nabatid na ang bagong park ay isa sa 17 open spaces na itatayo sa Metro Manila para sa urban re-greening at renewal initiatives.
“The pandemicmade us realize the importance of ventilation, open and green spaces. With these parks being improved and open to the public, we can provide an area for family events and wellness activities which are both equaliy necessary for physical and mental health,” pahayag ni Abalos.
Sukli rin aniya ito ng MMDA sa local government units sa Metrio Manila dahil sa internal revenue allotment.
Tinatayang nasa 5,000 pamilya sa Valenzuela ang makikinabang sa bagong park.
