Naarestong overstaying Jordanian, positibo sa COVID-19
Nahuli ng mga tauhan ng Bureau of Immigration (BI) ang isang overstaying Jordanian, na napag-alamang positibo sa COVID-19.
Idinetalye ni BI Intelligence Division Chief Fortunato Manahan Jr. na naaresto si Al Barghouthi Tarek El Abed Darwish, 43-anyos, sa bahagi ng Barangay San Jose sa Baliuag, Bulacan katuwang ang Baliuag police.
Nahaharap si Al Barghouthi sa warrant of deportation na inilabas noong Oktubre, kasunod ng summary deportation order laban sa kaniya dahil sa pagiging overstaying at paglabag sa mga kondisyon ng pananatili.
Nahuli ng mga awtoridad ang dayuhan sa harap ng kaniyang food stall business at dinala sa Chinese General Hospital para sa swab testing, alinsunod sa standard operating procedures.
“The test yielded positive results, thereby exposing the arresting agents, as well as the legal officers who handled his commitment,” ani Manahan.
Dinala ang dayuhan sa isolation area at mahigpit na tinututukan ng BI medical personnel.
“It was a very difficult situation, knowing that they have been exposed to Covid-19 because of their work,” pahayag ni BI Commissioner Jaime Morente at dagdag nito, “But we face these risks to ensure that we are able to perform our duties of ridding the country of these illegal aliens.”
Dadalhin si Al Barghouthi sa BI facility sa Bicutan, Taguig matapos makumpleto ang kaniyang isolation period.
