Antigen test, hindi uubra sa screening sa limited face-to-face classes sa kolehiyo

Hindi pinaboran ng Department of Health (DOH) ang paggamit ng antigen tests para sa screening ng mga propesor, school personnel at estudyante kapag nagbalik ang limited face-to-face classes sa Higher Education Institutions (HEIs).

“We do not encourage screening of asymptomatic individuals using antigen tests,” sabi ni Health Undersecretary Ma. Rosario Vergeire.

Aniya, maaring hindi ‘accurate’ ang maging resulta ng antigen test.

“Hindi po natin inirerekomenda na gamitin ang antigen test dun sa mga tao na walang sintomas baka magbigay sa inyo ng false result at kayo po ay ma-mislead sa inyong management,” paliwanag pa ni Vergeire.

Dagdag pa niya, “For example, negative baka mag-false negatice kasi hindi appropriate yung gamit natin and you might be misled at papasukin na natin ulit, yung pala positive siya so they can infect other people.”

Sa abiso ng Commission on Higher Education (CHED) noong Enero 10, ang Phase 2 ng pagpapatupad ng limited face-to-face classes sa lahat ng programa sa kolehiyo at unibersidad sa mga lugar na nasa Alert Level 3 ay magsisimula dapat sa darating na Enero 31.
