Ayon kay acting Presidential spokesperson Karlo Nograles, inaprubahan ito ng Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) sa araw ng Huwebes, January 27.
Kabilang sa mga isasailalim sa Alert Level 3 ang probinsya ng Palawan, Camiguin, Davao Occidental, Dinagat Islands, Tawi-Tawi at Sulu.
Iiral ang naturang alert level sa mga nasabing lugar hanggang February 15, 2022.
