DepEd pinag-iingat ang mga teacher, personnel sa phishing scams

Pinagbilinan ng Department of Education (DepEd) ang kanilang mga kawani na agad isulat ang anumang isyu ukol sa kanilang payroll.

Kaugnay ito sa ulat na ilang guro ang may isyu sa online banking system ng Land Bank.

“While the DepEd Central Office has not yet received any formal incident reports yet, it is currently validating these claims with its field offices,” ayon sa pahayag ng kagawaran na inilabas, Lunes ng gabi (January 24).

Nabatid na nakipag-ugnayan na ang Land Bank sa DepEd at tiniyak na tinututukan na ang sinasabing unauthorized withdrawals.

Ayon naman sa Teachers Dignity Coalition, na-hack ang accounts ng ilang pampublikong guro at nagresulta ito sa ‘unauthorized withdrawals.’

“The amount stolen from individual teachers so far ranged from P26,000 to P121,000 or from their regular salary and holiday bonuses to lifetime savings,” sabi pa ng grupo.
