Isinailalim sa Alert Level 4 ang Kalinga, Ifugao at Mountain Province sa Cordillera Administrative Region, at ang probinsya sa Northern Samar.
Ayon kay Cabinet Secretary at acting presidential spokesman Karlo Nograles, inaprubahan ng Inter Agency Task Force ang rekomendasyon na itaas sa Alert Level 4 ang mga nabanggit na lugar dahil sa mataas na kaso ng COVID-19.
Nasa Alert Level 3 naman ang Apayao, Puerto Princesa City at Masbate sa Luzon;
Siquijor sa Visayas; at Zamboanga del Norte, Zamboanga Sibugay, Lanao del Norte Davao de Oro, Davao Oriental, North Cotabato, Sarangani, Sultan Kudarat, Surigao del Norte, Maguindanao at Basilan sa Mindanao.
Ayon kay Nograles, magiging epektibo ang bagong Alert Level sa January 21 at tatagal ng hanggang January 31.
