Pope Francis, nagpadala ng 100,000 euros na donasyon para sa ‘Odette’ victims

Magpapadala si Pope Francis ng 100,000 euros o katumbas ng mahigit P5.8 milyon para makatulong sa mga biktima ng bagyong Odette sa Pilipinas.

Ayon sa Vatican, layon din nitong makapag-abot ng tulong sa migrants na naipit sa border sa pagitan ng Poland at Belarus.

Sa pamamagitan ng Dicastery for Promoting Integral Human Development, ipapadala ang donasyon sa mga lokal na simbahan at dioceses na lubhang apektado ng bagyo upang makapaghatid din ng ayuda.

“This contribution, which accompanies the prayer in support of the beloved Filipino population, is part of the aid that is being activated throughout the Catholic Church and which involves numerous charitable organisations, in addition to various Episcopal Conferences,” dagdag nito.

Base sa huling ulat ng National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC), nasa 406 ang naitalang death toll sa bansa bunsod ng nagdaang bagyo noong December 2021.

Nasa 2,335,757 pamilya naman naapektuhan sa 11 rehiyon at 38 probinsya.
