Malakanyang posibleng akusahan ng ‘double standard’ sa kaso ni PAO Chief Acosta – Drilon

Hinikayat ni Senate Minority Leader Frank Drilon ang Malakanyang at Department of Justice (DOJ) na huwag munang papasukin sa kanyang opisina si Public Attorneys Office Chief Persidad Acosta.

 

Katuwiran ni Drilon na hindi katanggap-tanggap na isang mataas na opisyal ng gobyerno ay hindi pa bakunado gayung panay ang pangungumbinsi sa mamamayan na magpaturok ng COVID 19 vaccine.

 

“Hindi ba sampal iyon sa gobyerno? I hope it is not deliberate but Acosta’s recent statements can fuel hesitancy that we are trying to address,” sabi ni Drilon sa pahayag na inilabas ng kanyang opisina.

 

Dagdag pa nito na patungkol kay Acosta; “ Until she gets vaccinated, she should be barred from reporting to work.”

 

Babala lang ni Drilon, maaring maakusahan ng ‘double standard’ ang gobyerno dahil pinapayagan na makapasok sa opisina si Acosta gayung maraming Filipino naman ang nililimitahan ang galaw kapag hindi pa bakunado.

 

“If the government is serious about its ‘no vax, stay at home; no vax, no ride policy,’ it should apply it to all. Otherwise, it will not work. The government should take the same hardline stance against their own officials. Set an example with Acosta,” diin pa nito.

 

Una nang inamin ni Acosta na hindi pa siya nagpapabakuna dahil sa kanyang edad at kondisyong medikal.
