Mga tauhan ng BI na nakatalaga sa NAIA, bawal munang mag-leave hanggang Enero 2022

Pinagbawalan munang lumiban sa trabaho ang mga tauhan ng Bureau of Immigration (BI) sa Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) hanggang sa katapusan ng Enero.

Naglabas ng direktiba si Atty. Carlos Capulong, pinuno ng BI Port Operations Division (POD) Chief, ukol sa pagpapalawig ng ban sa paghahain ng vacation leave ng mga empleyado hanggang January 31. Nagsimula ito noong December 16, 2021 bago ang holiday season.

Layon aniya nitong mapanatili na sapat ang bilang ng BI officers sa naturang paliparan kasabay ng pagtaas ng COVID-19 cases sa kanilang hanay.

Kailangan aniya ang naturang kautusan para masigurong hindi maaantala ang airport operations ng BI.

“No application for leave during this period will be entertained or approved, and all filed leaves are hereby cancelled to ensure that we have enough personnel to service the traveling public,” dagdag ni Capulong.

Sa huling datos, umabot na sa 138 138 BI-POD personnel ang nagpositibo sa COVID-19.

Karagdagang 129 na empleyado naman ang nakasailalim pa sa quarantine habang hinihintay ang resulta ng kanilang swab test.

Nasa 99 empleyado naman ang nagnegatibo na sa nakahahawang sakit at nakabalik na sa trabaho.
