Pinangunahan ni Manila Mayor Isko Moreno ang pagbubukas ng bagong Physical Therapy Rehab Robotics Program sa Sta. Ana Hospital.
Ayon kay Moreno, pang-world class ang bagong therapy program.
“Ngayon po ay papasinayahan natin, dagdag pasilidad para sa taong-bayan. We always wanted the best. Sometimes it is being compared to maybe first-class services the private sector can offer. If and if the private sector, kung kaya nilang magbigay ng first-class service, mas may kakayanan ang gobyerno dahil ang gobyerno may salapi. Pera ng taong-bayan. So it has to be returned through services,” pahayag ni Moreno.
Ayon kay Moreno, katuwang ng lokal na pamahalaan sa programa ang pribadong kompanya na Robocare Solutions, Inc. kung saan dito inutang ang ilang units ng Hybrid Assistive Limb (HAL) .
Ito ang kauna-unahan at bukod tanging robotic exoskeleton sa bansa na nagti-train sa utak at paa na makalakad muli.
“Ayoko lang nung “mema” services. Me masabi lang, me mapa-picturan lang, me magawa lang. No, I really don’t like it. So, when we create things, we always wanted to achieve things ‘yung above average because the people deserve better things from their government, especially nowadays,” pahayag ni Moreno.
“Alam mo pag pinasok mo ‘yan, sa mga bisita namin dito, pag pinasok mo ‘yan modesty aside, i-tatangos namin ng ilong ‘yan. Sabi nga nung aking nephro, ‘yung head, sabi nya ‘yung gamit daw diyan parang Mercedes Benz. That’s how he described it,” pahayag ni Moreno.
