Worksite capacity sa mga opisina ng BI, ibinaba sa 30 porsyento
Ibinaba ng Bureau of Immigration (BI) ang kanilang onsite workforce sa 30 porsyento simula sa araw ng Huwebes, Enero 13.
Sa abiso ni BI Commissioner Jaime Morente, epektibo ang bagong worksite capacity hanggang Enero 22.
Layon nitong mapigilan ang pagkalat ng COVID-19 sa mga tauhan ng ahensya.
“We thank Secretary Menardo Guevarra for considering our plight and approving our request to temporarily downgrade our workforce amidst this surge,” pahayag ni Morente at dagdag nito, “The high number of BI personnel getting sick with Covid-19 is really affecting our operations.”
Sa kabila ng binawasang workforce, bukas pa rin ang lahat ng BI office tuwing Lunes hanggang Biyernes mula 7:00 ng umaga hanggang 5:30 ng gabi.
Sinabi ni Morente na susundin ng mga empleyado na magtatrabaho offsite ang mga itinakdang panuntunan sa alternatibong work arrangements ng Civil Service Commission.
Nakasaad din sa abiso na exempted sa Online Appointment System ang fully vaccinated clients basta’t kailangan lang ipakita ang kanilang vaccination card o certification.
Para naman sa mga hindi bakunado o partially vaccinated clients, kailangang makapag-schedule ng appointment online via https://e-services.immigration.gov.ph/.
“We hope that the public bears with us as we reduce our manpower during this surge,” ani Morente.
Aniya pa, “Our frontliners are getting sick, but we will make sure that the delivery of our services remain unhampered.”
Sa ngayon, nasa 251 pa ang aktibong kaso ng COVID-19 sa hanay ng BI. Sa nasabing bilang, 135 tauhan ang nakatalaga sa paliparan, 91 sa BI office sa Intramuros, habang 25 naman ang mula sa iba pang opisina ng ahensya.
