Pagbibigay ng booster shots sa fully vaccinated tourism workers, sinimulan na

Sinimulan na ang pagbibigay ng booster shots sa mga fully vaccinated tourism worker bilang dagdag-proteksyon laban sa COVID-19.

Sinabi rin ng kagawaran na karamihan sa mga rehiyon ay mayroon nang 90-percent vaccination rates sa mga aktibong tourism worker.

“We are glad to see the willingness of our tourism workers to get vaccinated grow over the past few months,” pahayag ni Tourism Secretary Bernadette Romulo-Puyat at aniya pa, “We continue to encourage them to avail themselves of the free vaccine as this is a critical component for the industry to rebound and thrive in the new normal.”

Ayon sa kalihim, nagbibigay na ng booster shots sa tourism workers sa National Capital Region (NCR) at Boracay Island.

Unti-unti ring sisimulan ang booster shots drive para naman sa tourism workers sa iba pang tourism destinations tulad ng Baguio City at Davao.

Sa datos ng DOT NCR Office, nasa 12,693 o 50 porsyento ng 25,386 hotel workers ang nakatanggap na ng COVID-19 booster shots.

Maglalaan naman ang National Task Force Against COVID-19 (NTF) ng 20,000 COVID-19 vaccine doses na magsisilbing booster shots sa tourism workers sa Boracay.

Sa pagtatapos ng taong 2021, umabot na 282,780 indibiduwal o 88.38 porysento ng inisyal na target population na 325,489 ng tourism workers ang nabakunahan laban sa nakahahawang sakit.

Dahil dito, 38,931 indibiduwal o 12.17 porsyentong tourism workers na lamang ang hindi pa nakakakuha ng kanilang first dose ng bakuna.
