Mga kandidato, hinikayat ni Sen. Zubiri na mag-ambag ng election ad fund sa ‘Odette’ victims
Nasaksihan ni Senate Majority Leader Juan Miguel Zubiri ang grabeng pinsala na idinulot sa buhay at kabuhayan sa Visayas at Mindanao ng nagdaang bagyong Odette.
Bunga nito, umapela si Zubiri sa lahat ng mga kapwa niya kandidato na iambag ang bahagi ng kanilang election campaign budget para ipangtulong sa mga labis na naapektuhan ng kalamidad.
Naibahagi ng senador na ang ipinambili niya ng mga ipinamahaging bigas, groceries, tubig, masks, at tents ay kanyang advertising budget para sa kanyang pagkandidato muli sa pagka-senador.
“And I am appealing to my fellow candidates, whether for national or local posts, to do the same. I know that advertising is a huge part of everyone’s campaign right now, given the limited movement imposed by the ongoing pandemic, but these concerns are nothing compared to how our people are hungry and homeless in Visayas and Mindanao. They need all the help that we can give,” aniya.
Katuwiran niya sa kanyang apela, lahat sila ay kumakandidato upang magsilbi sa kapwa at aniya, ang pagtulong sa mga nasalanta ng bagyo ay bahagi na ng pagseserbisyo.
