Dalawang Koryanong wanted dahil sa swindling at illegal gambling, timbog
Nahuli ng mga tauhan ng Bureau of Immigration (BI) Fugitive Search Unit (FSU) ang dalawang Koryanong wanted dahil sa swindling at illegal gambling.
Noong Biyernes, nahuli si Kang Mingyu, 56-anyos, sa pinagtataguang condominium unit sa Makati City.
Ayon kay BI Commissioner Jaime Morente, inilabas ang warrant upang maaresto ang dayuhan alinsunod sa summary deportation order ng BI Board of Commissioners noong 2020 dahil sa pagiging undesirable alien.
“We will immediately implement the order and send him back to his country. He has also been placed in our blacklist which perpetually bans him from re-entering the Philippines,” saad ng BI chief.
Lumabas sa datos na inilabas ng Dongbu district court sa Seoul ang arrest warrant kay Kang noong June 2020 kung saan naghain ng kasong large-scale fraud laban sa kaniya.
Naglabas ng red notice ang Interpol sa kaparehong taon matapos mapag-alamang lumipad ang dayuhan patungong Maynila para takasan ang kinakaharap na kaso.
Samantala, sa bisa ng mission order mula kay Morente, naaresto rin si Jung Youngmin, 51-anyos, sa Andres Bonifacio Avenue in Clark, Pampanga noong Sabado.
Sangkot naman si Jung sa kasong may kinalaman sa illegal gambling.
Nagpasalamat naman si Morente sa South Korean government dahil sa pagbibigay ng impormasyon sa mga kaso ng mga nabanggit na dayuhan.
Dagdag nito, “Our strong partnership with our foreign counterparts helps us rid our country of these undesirable aliens and ensures justice is served.”
Sa ngayon, nakakulong sina Kang at Jung sa BI Warden Facility sa Taguig habang hinihintay ang kanilang deportation.
