P3-B mawawala sa pag-iral ng Alert Level 3 sa NCR Plus
Sa pagtataya ng Development Budget Coordination Committee (DBCC), halos P3 bilyon kada linggo ang Gross Value Added (GVA) loss sa pagpapairal ng Alert Level 3 sa Metro Manila at mga karatig lalawigan ng Bulacan, Laguna, Cavite at Rizal.
Sa inilabas na pahayag ng DBCC, tinutukan nito ang epekto ng pagsirit ng COVID-19 cases.
“While this may delay our goal of shifting to Alert level 1, we believe that this is a temporary setback and is a necessary adjustment in view of the new COVID variant. As we previously said, we are in a better position to manage possible spikes,” ayon sa pahayag ng DBCC.
Diin din nito na may sapat na bakuna at pondo para sa booster shots, bukod sa nadagdagan ang hospital capacity at nagpapatupad na rin muli ng granular lockdowns.
“From all indications, the Omicron variant results in less severe cases, especially to those who are fully vaccinated,” dagdag pa ng DBCC.
Binanggit na hanggang noong Enero 5, kabuuang 110.9 million doses na ang naipamahagi at sa bilang, higit 108 milyon na ang naiturok hanggang second dose at 2.5 milyon naman ang nagamit ng booster shots.
Malaking tulong din, ayon pa sa DBCC, na napirmahan na ang 2022 General Appropriations Act para sa patuloy na pagtugon ng gobyerno sa pandemya.
