PNP, nagkasa ng operasyon vs black market retailers ng COVID drugs at iba pang gamot

Alinsunod sa kautusan ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte, ipinakilos na ng Philippine National Police (PNP) ang kanilang operating units upang matukoy at maaresto ang mga nagbebenta na sangkot sa hoarding at black market retailing ng COVID-19 prescription drugs at iba pang gamot.

Kabilang sa operasyon ang may-ari ng tindahan at sales representatives sa mga transaksyon.

“Selling these drugs outside the legitimate pharmacies can really be dangerous to the public. The Food and Drug Administration has already appealed to only buy medicines from FDA-approved outlets,” pahayag ni PNP Chief General Dionardo Carlos.

Mahaharap aniya sa kasong kriminal ang mga lalabag.

“Violators will face appropriate criminal charges according to existing FDA regulations as further aggaravated by violations of law under a state of national health emergency,” babala ng hepe ng pambansang pulisya.

Sinabi pa ni Carlos na magsasagawa ng imbestigasyon kung paano nakukumbinsi ang ilang indibiduwal na tangkilikin ang produkto kahit walang naipapakitang business registration at permit para makapagbenta.

Kinakailangan ding makipag-ugnayan ng PNP sa iba pang ahensya ng gobyerno para malaman ang sistema ng pagbebenta ng mga produkto.
