Nalagpasan ng National Telecomunications Commission (NTC) ang kanilang 2021 collection target ng 72.4 percent o katumbas ng mahigit P3.82 billion.
As of December 31, 2021, ang actual collection ng NTC ay umabot sa P9.09 billion, kumpara sa kanilang collection target na P5.27 billion.
Ito na ang ika-anim na sunod na taon sa ilalim ng Duterte administration na nalagpasan ng NTC ang kanilang collection target.
Nagpasalamat naman si NTC Commissioner Gamaliel Cordoba dahil sa kabila ng mga paghihigpit bunsod ng COVID-19 pandemic ay lagpas pa rin sa target ang kanilang koleksyon.
Ang achievement sa nakalipas na anim na taon ay pagpapakita ng buong suporta ng NTC at ng Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) sa national government at sa public service programs na isinusulong ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte, gaya sa imprastrakturs, agrikultura at rural development, at peace and order.
