BSP Governor Diokno, kinilala bilang “Global Central Banker of the Year 2022”
Kinilala si Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) Governor Benjamin Diokno bilang “Global Central Banker of the Year 2022” ng The Banker, isang international monthly banking, finance, and business magazine na pag-aari ng Financial Times.
Binigyang pagkilala si Diokno bilang pinakamahusay na central banker sa mundo sa pagsisikap nitong pasiglahin ang pagbangon at paglago ng ekonomiya ng Pilipinas sa gitna ng COVID-19 pandemic.
Unang pagkakataon sa bansa ang natanggap na pagkilala ni Diokno.
Kinilala rin si Diokno bilang “Asia-Pacific Central Banker of the Year 2022.”
“I am truly honoured to be named The Banker’s Global Central Banker of the Year. This award recognizes the effort we at the BSP have put forth over this past year—amid extraordinary challenges,” pahayag ni Diokno.
Dagdag nito, “While the entire world has been affected by the pandemic, the BSP has implemented policy responses to enable the Philippines to adapt to new ways of working, doing business, and living.”
Katuwang ang mga kasamahan sa BSP, sinabi ni Diokno na patuloy silang magtatrabaho para mas mapalago at mapanatili ang ekonomiya ng bansa.
