Mega modular hospital facility, itinayo sa Mandaluyong
Nagtayo ang Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) ng isang mega modular hospital facility sa loob ng National Center for Mental Health (NCMH) compound sa Mandaluyong City.
Sa ulat kay DPWH Secretary Roger G. Mercado, sinabi ni DPWH Task Force for Augmentation of Health Facilities head Undersecretary Emil Sadain na ang NCMH mega-hospital project ay may 130 na bed capacity.
Layon nitong mapalakas ang kahandaan ng gobyerno sa pagresponde kasabay ng pagtaas ng mga kaso ng COVID-19.
Araw ng Martes, January 4, nag-inspeksyon si Sadain, kasama ang iba pang opisyal ng gobyerno, sa limang modular hospitals kung saan bawat isa ay may 22 kwarto at isang intensive care unit building na may 20 beds sa isang site na binuo ng DPWH at NCMH.
Bawat ospital airconditioned hospital room ay may komportableng kama, lamesa, upuan at comfort room na magsisilbi bilang quarantine o treatment facility.
Samantala, may nakahanda namang oxygen, suction, at vacuum system; infusion pump at cardiac monitoring; mechanical ventilator; at X Ray at hemodialysis sa ICU building.
Makatutulong ang bagong mega hospital facility upang madagdagan ang pangangailangan sa hospital beds ng mga pasyenteng apektado ng nakahahawang sakit sa Metro Manila, maging sa mga kalapit probinsya.
Maliban sa naturang mega hospital facility, nauna nang nakumpleto ng kagawaran ang dalawang cluster units ng off-site dormitories para sa medical frontliners.
Sa ngayon, hindi bababa sa 820 healthcare facilities na may total bed capacity ng 30,234 ang nakumpleto sa buong bansa.
Mabilis ding natapos ang modular hospital facilities sa Quezon Institute-Philippine Tuberculosis Society Inc., Lung Center of the Philippines, Dr. Jose N. Rodriquez Memorial Hospital, National Kidney and Transplant Institute, V. Luna Medical Center, Pasig City General Hospital, Las Piñas General Hospital and Satellite Trauma Center, Ospital ng Maynila, Valenzuela City Emergency Hospital, Batangas Medical Center, at Southern Philippines Medical Center sa Davao City.
